Focus Briefs includes several easy to use tools to help you manage your professional business and invoicing better. It allows hourly, case-rate or retainer fees, tracks outstanding client debts, and creates professional invoices to be printed or emailed, hence being an all-inclusive Bill of Quantities Software.

Key features

Accurate reminders

• Execute the Billing Run function on a weekly or monthly basis, or as frequently as necessary to extract the proposed bills for the period in question. These may be derived from time sheet entries logged by your staff or from retainer agreements that you may have established with your clients;
• Never allow a time sheet entry to go unaccounted for, even if this was entered weeks or months late. This will be captured in the next billing run;

Optimise your billing system

• Review the proposed charges to ensure completeness, with the option of using a standard invoice text that you may define for each brief and retainer. Touch this up for each invoice, if you feel the need;
• Finalise the bills only after you have reviewed the proposed fees and invoice layout;
• Review client accounts when necessary with full visibility of outstanding balances on client accounts and on individual briefs or retainers;
• Post ad-hoc transactions, using one of a number of user-defined transaction types, to charge for additional fees other than those covered by the client’s agreement;

Improve customer service

• Issue bills in time-sheet format if you wish or if you feel that your client deserves or requires this level of detail;
• Print Invoices or Requests for Payment using a professional layout;
• Print client statements with the option of showing only outstanding invoices or the full history of the account in ledger sheet format;
